Martin Piper

"Meaningful Shit", Ideation, Collaboration, Branding, Consultation, "Being better" Partner

A 25-year industry veteran, Martin is a recognized leader with a proven track record as a troubleshooting and ideation specialist. Working in everything from external signage and architecture to printing and finishing, he moved onwards to television and promotions where he honed his craft as a leader designing collateral for 3 television stations. He followed this with a 5-year stint in technology and training and finally landed in craft beer as a creative director, taking on all identity responsibilities from branding and packaging to full-scaled releases and activations.

Building this arsenal of skillsets was the result of an unrelenting appetite for learning. First, the extensivity of available vehicles used to convey messages. And second, the importance of a unified visual language to reach a larger more versatile audience to take full advantage of a literal strength in numbers.

Marc Piper is a multidisciplinary designer and front-end developer who has become accomplished spending more than 10 years in different facets of the industry.

Starting as a designer in television and moving on to a short stay in the magazine industry, he honed his skills early creating visuals for heavy consumption. This led to five years in the marketing department of a financial institution where his work improved accessibility by supporting a wider audience through device compatibility and mobility.

Developing into a more versatile designer, he founded Studio 83, where he built relationships with companies like Mirvish Productions, Enercare, The Hearing Foundation of Canada and Amsterdam Brewery. These opportunities paved a path to the Ontario Public Service where he designed digital and printed materials for the Ministry of Energy.

Marc combines a rich knowledge of design, manufacturing and marketing processes to solve design dilemmas with innovative resolutions by generating creative approaches that leads to commercial viability.
